THE PURPOSE OF STAIN

The purpose of staining is to seal and add color to your hardwood floors, the wood absorbs the stain altering its color. Staining your floors can bring warmth to any room and with the many tones available, can be used to compliment any decor. Colors of stain can be natural, or range from light tints to the richest dark. Practically any color tone can be achieved through the process of staining.

LIMITING FACTORS

The main limiting factor in the staining process is the actual species of wood. Not all types of hardwood accept stain as well as the other. The most commonly used types of wood for staining are white oak and red oak.

THE PROCESS OF STAINING

The staining process takes place after your hardwood floors get installed and buffed, but before finish coats. We know the importance of stain selection therefore we take special care in assisting you in choosing the proper tone to suit your environment. We provide samples ahead of time to assure that you get the stain color you want.
